I was wearing a pair of desert combat boots to a concert, and with all the people crowded around me, people were stepping on my feet and now the toes of the boots are just about black. Whats the best way to clean them off?
A: Remove the majority of the dirt with a stiff brush.
Remove the rest of the dirt with a sponge. Dampen the sponge (don't soak it) and then scrub the remaining dirt and mud from your combat boots. Small amounts of water won't hurt leather.
Clean the crevices. Using your old toothbrush, wipe dirt out of the remaining seams, especially down near the welt (where the stitches of the boot can be seen joined to the sole).
Condition the boots. Using leather oil or leather conditioner will put essential oils back into the leather and stop it from cracking and/or drying out over time.
