Do you really think a sane person is going to stop for a stranger with two duffel bags?
Only psychos and perverts would stop...and that might not be good for your health.

If you are not getting anywhere with your unit nor any help by going up the chain of command then I suggest you call the office of your congressman. There will be someone in his or her office in charge of military issues who may be able to get some answers for you.

Yes, it's easy to fit it in there. Unless you do like a guy I took to ship a few weeks ago and try to take three pairs of shoes and a week's changes of clothes with him. After I took most of his stuff and threw it in a separate bag, I took the stuff he had on the packing list and showed him how to fit the stuff in there. You'll get used to doing that when you have to pack rucksacks and duffel bags. Good luck next week.

Yes we still use the OD green ones. You can order them from ranger Joe's or us cavalry on line. You would have to take them to a local sew shop to have you name put on them or just get some stencils and paint them on.

If you shop around near military bases, you could find some surplus stores, but I don't think that they would carry tires on a normal basis. If you wish to purchase directly from the government on the stuff they are selling off go to http://www.govliquidation.com/ It is the official government website for selling surplus.

Almost any Military installation has a DRMO (Defense Reutilization Management Office). They are charged with disposing of used government equipment.
It can be anything from unused office supplies to vehicles. Most stuff is well used beyond it normal life, some is very good condition.
Contact the office near you. Some items are open purchase, but most are auctioned on a sealed bid format.
